Our Story
信楽焼で知られる陶器の街・信楽。そこには、日本の里山の原風景が広がっています。蛍は、都市や観光地では出会えない、信楽ならではの里山の美しさを味わうことのできる宿です。
Shigaraki is a pottery town renowned for Shigaraki ware, one of Japan's most celebrated ceramic traditions. Surrounded by the timeless beauty of the satoyama landscape, Hotaru offers a place to experience the unique charm of rural Shigaraki — far removed from the bustle of cities and tourist destinations.
かつて祖父母が暮らしたこの家で、幼き日の私たちは毎夏を過ごしました。夜空に浮かぶ蛍の儚い光を、私たちはいつまでも眺めていました。祖父母の亡き後、私たちはこの家を引き継ぎました。
"Hotaru" is the Japanese word for firefly. This place was once the home of our grandparents, where we spent every summer as children. At night, we would sit together, watching the fleeting glow of fireflies drift through the darkness for what felt like hours. After our grandparents passed away, we inherited this house and began a new chapter of its story.
